Usain Bolt to receive the Honor of Jamaica and “Bolt Highway”
Sep 16th, 2009 by admin

Usain Bolt, the current record holder for the 100m and 200m men athletics. Is to receive the Honor of Jamaica (which would make him the youngest to receive this award)and having the oddly named Highway 2000 renamed after him.

The opinions ranges from extreme to extreme; some say give him all, some say it’s way too early in this career. Both have there pro’s and cons. I personally believe that it’s a tad bit too early to give him the order of Jamaica. He’s only 23 and has his entire life in front of him. I think other means can be used to congratulate him such as naming a park, school or sporting department after him. Then in the years to come we can consider the Order of Jamaica.

Moving on to the Highway, “Bolt Highway” is a flat out bad idea. He already crashed/ totaled his car, more will only follow if the name is “Bolt”.

Only time will see, what happens..

Any thoughts?

Usain St. Leo Bolt, C.D. born 21 August 1986), is a Jamaican sprinter and a three-time Olympic gold medalist. He holds the world record for the 100 metres, the 200 metres and, along with his teammates, the 4×100 metres relay. He also holds the Olympic record for all three of these races. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, Bolt became the first man to win three sprinting events at a single Olympics since Carl Lewis in 1984, and the first man to set world records in all three at a single Olympics. In 2009 he became the first man to hold the 100 and 200 m world and Olympic titles at the same time.
